Japanese recycling environment and used tire business
Good news for used tire businesses in Japan was announced that port Long Beach in California will be operated 24 hours, which news was brought by president Biden last week. I hope I can ship the used tire container to my customers earlier.
The last time, we explained the negative impact of COVID on the New tire industry. In this blog, we are talking about the used tire recycling industry in Japan and considering the perspective of our used tire business.
The total number of recycled tires in 2020 that were rejected when tires were exchanged and scrapped dropped by 10 million from 2019. This number was affected by the reduction of new tire production in accompany with the covid-19. We heard from our partners that this year tires were much more worn than last year. Because transportation companies and ordinal drivers were not willing to reject tires early to save money. As s result, some sizes have much more casings than used tires.
Given these business environments, we have to predict the orders and reserve the stock in advance. We will be required to hear the customer’s voices well to work on quickly. 2020 will end in two months. We will be in high season for the used tire business. I always welcome new buyers or customers for the casing and used tire business.
